Are they dead?

A reader says, "I just finished The Furies and I'm hyperventilating. Are they dead? Are Rodney and Ronon and Jennifer dead? What happened to them? How did they get off the hive? Did they get off the hive before it blew up? Aaaargh!"

I'm glad the end of The Furies left you in a dither! But no, they aren't dead. Rodney and Ronon and Jennifer aren't dead. I'm not going to say how they got off the hive because that's spoilery, and they're certainly up to their necks in a world of trouble, but they aren't dead. I promise we will return to them on the very first page of the next book!

Just think of it as one of those infernal season enders where you get to spend three months worrying that Sheppard actually blew himself up this time! :)

I loathed those season enders. lol. You KNEW they weren't going to be dead, but you spent months trying to figure out just exactly HOW they were going to come out all right. :)

From what I understand, however, Ardent [Link to spoiler] died when the hive exploded, didn't he?. I kinda feel sorry for him.

Sadly, yes, Ardent bought the farm. :( He should have known better than to mess with Guide!

Yeah, getting in Guide's way is pretty much always a bad idea!

Having just finished 'The Furies' I have to say I simply loved your cliffhanger! It really was the perfect way to end this one and leave me desperate for the next book to come out! I can conjecture about how they all survive, as surely they must, and then see how far off I am when I read the next book!
Just to say also that I am thoroughly enjoying the series, and you have overcome my original misgivings about the amount of book time given over to the Wraith - all in all it is proving a fascinating journey and I look forward to see where it ends.
