Commence fighting for ownership of the kindle this evening! Perhaps this time I shall purchase two copies? One for the master and one for the dame? (Thankfully the little boy who lives down the lane doesn't read Stargate novels yet!!! lol)

*g* Well, two copies does mean that you'll get to read it first!

lol - went with one copy from amazon (and I even offered it to hubs first - aren't I nice?....well, not really when you consider we're both playing Mass Effect 3 with only one xbox between us.....then I'm downright manipulative I think!) I'll be back with comments in a while when we've both read it. Can't wait.

Oooohhh!! Perfect timing, since I'm getting on a plane tomorrow morning for a weeks vacation, and I now have another lovely story to while away the hours as I sit in the middle of the desert. On the other hand, my evening of leisurely packing the suitcase is looking less and less likely as Secrets is now burning a metaphorical hole in my Kindle and my will-power is for sh*te.

But grand timing, nonetheless :-)

can't wait
I can't wait to read. Just have to wait for Barnes and Noble to get it. Been saving enough on a gift card for my Nook to get it and book 6.

Re: can't wait
It should be up as soon as they code it. It went to B&N at the same time as everywhere else, so soon. I hope you enjoy it!

Re: can't wait
They are always the slowest I think to get it. I think I end up getting most of the books a day or two later. But it is what I have, so can't complain either. I cannot wait to read it though.

Re: can't wait
They do usually seem to take a little longer. Though they were very fast with Lost Things, but it was a Nook First exclusive, and they're very selective about that program so I think it gets priority. The other books have seemed to take a little longer. Have you read Lost Things?

Re: can't wait
I have not read Lost Things. It is on my wish list as I have had so many books that I want to read and so little money to buy them. As of just now, it is still not on B&N. The Furies was right out but it took a while on Allegiance if my memory serves me.

Legacy Series
I'm finishing up "The Furies" and am super excited to read "Secrets"! I really enjoy Jo Graham's writing. And absolutely LOVE how Teyla and John's relationship developed over the series. Beautiful!

Legacy Series
Forgot to mention that I also appreciate Todd/Guide's role in the story. He was always a well-liked character. And the storyline adds to his qualities.

Re: Legacy series
Halfway through "Secrets" and so far I'm blown away at the possibilities you've opened up. Filling in a lot of the past histories of the people's involved the way you have and fleshing out so many details, it seems ripe now for so much more.

A whole series could be created involving the Ancients and the early Wraith, or the later history that led to the Ancients abandoning Atlantis. The possibilities are endless and so are the story lines.

One very interesting possibility would be to follow "Todd" through his early years, and introduce a counterpart on Atlantis about the same age. They could run into each other in much the same way as Todd and Sheppard did, and...well one could capture the other or they could end up stranded together.

Just...wow.

Re: Legacy series
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed Secrets! There is definitely a lot of room for stories with the Ancients and the Wraith, with the war between them that led to the abandonment of Atlantis, and with everything that's happened between. We've talked with our publisher a little about a Wraith book, because there are so many stories there -- I hope it will happen!
