December Monthly Update

Hi everybody! It's such a busy time of year, and absolutely so for me with everything I have in different stages of writing and editing.

The next book out is Moebius Squared, my SG-1 novel with Melissa Scott, which I expect to be out in ebook next week! The paperback will follow about two weeks later, as that's how long it takes to actually print the book. This was a really fun book to do because it has both the "old" team and the "new" team. I'd never done the new one before, and it was a blast to write Cam and Vala, who both sort of wormed their way in and stayed. (See Steel Blues....) And it was wonderful to write Sam's transition from SG-1 to the Hammond, a few months before we see her in Homecoming. I hope you enjoy it!

Next up after that is Steel Blues! Steel Blues is the sequel to Lost Things, and we're going to New Orleans. I'm going to start a Race to the Finish contest for Steel Blues soon, following the course of the air race in the book, with an autographed copy to the winner, so watch for it in the coming weeks. I love Steel Blues and I love this team so much!

And then there's The Inheritors, the sixth and last book in the Legacy series. It's at MGM for first approval, so it will be a little while as I know they're busy in the holiday season. It's so satisfying, and I feel like we wrapped up the story well. And at the same time I'm a little bit sad to be leaving Atlantis. The Inheritors should be out sometime early in the new year.

And then in the summer there should be Silver Bullet, the third book in the Order of the Air series, sequel to Lost Things and Steel Blues. We're working on it, about three quarters done, so not much to go! Silver Bullet introduces a recurring villain, which is always interesting.

Then what? I'm hoping that the sequel to The General's Mistress, The Emperor's Companion, will be picked up by Gallery Press and that it will make its way into print next year.

Also, Melissa and I will be working on the fourth book in the Order of the Air, Wind Raker, for publication in 2014. When the gang goes to Hawaii to test a new sea plane, all hell breaks loose with a mysterious archaeological dig, industrial saboteurs, the German navy, and the hunt for the lost Navel of the World!

In other things, Amy and I are slowly working on a second draft of Lifeboat, and I'm in the first stages of a big standalone novel. So what are you looking forward to? What do you want to see?

Looking forward to The Inheritors and Moebius Squared ('cause I loves me some Cam and Vala). Lifeboat, too. Finished Lost Things (finally! *shakes fist* Drat you, higher education!) and am writing up a short, fairly squeeful note :).

Also, while it's not anything you currently have on the books, I downloaded Black Ships and am looking forward to starting that.

Namely, what do I want? Well more StarGate Atlantis, in both books, tv and a movie or two. Looks like none of that is going to happen.

I really don't know yet. I would do another book, but the question is whether or not MGM decides to license further books after this spring. So we'll have to wait and see.

Ok, but hopefully they do license further books for Atlantis.

I'm super excited for the Order of the Air! And Lifeboat sounds interesting, the next Elza book is SO exciting, and I can't wait to see what you hatch next!

I'm hatching! :)

Steel Blues is really fun, and I have my fingers crossed that the next Elza book will sell.
