This long awaited review of this outstanding finale for a WONDERFUL series but I just finished the book. I was happy and sad at the same time. It makes me miss SGA all the more 8-(.

LOVED, the showdown between Queen Death and Teyla and the Daughters of Osprey uniting for the common good of all the *children* of the Ancients.

The ending of the novel brings the team full circle and it was like settling down after a good meal with a warm blanket. So much love, I could go on and on.

Anyway, thanks to you and your fellow co-author for such a wonderful ride and vision of what could have been and that which could still be.

By the way...I read an e-version of the book. BUT...it was SO good either way \0/!

I am so delighted you liked it!

It had to come down to Teyla vs. Queen Death. We knew that back in the first book. That was how it had to end. And I think that's where Teyla's development was going through the whole series, from The Gift through Submersion through The Queen. I think that in The Gift Teyla dreamed herself with Osprey's face. To me, that's Osprey.

Got it
I got my copy in the mail just today, and am looking forward to reading it. I did, however, jump to the end and read it. Liked it. Ended with the team together, the was it should have always been.

Finally finished it
Well, I finally finished the book and enjoyed it. The battle read like an episode, and I could picture it in my head. I felt badly for Rodney, because Ronon made it clear that he didn't trust Rodney. Then John thought that Rodney had betrayed them as well, until he realized that Rodney went to "sacrifice" himself. I was happy to see Jennifer leave, but happy with the way she left. For me, it opened up the door for Carson to come back, even though the IOA doesn't want him because he's a clone. Hopefully, Woolsey is able to keep him on board Atlantis.

Re: Finally finished it
I'm so glad you liked it. Rodney was in such trouble -- but you know Rodney! He came through! And didn't even get killed, thanks to Elizabeth. I think that's Rodney's full circle moment, becoming the man he wanted to be back in Letters from Pegasus. He was that brave and that dedicated. He is the hero he wanted to be.

I think Carson will stay in Atlantis. I think Woolsey will pull strings!
