August Update

August came in with a bang for me as a guest at Shore Leave 36 in Baltimore. It was a great convention and I met so many nice people -- including author Sally Malcolm who I've known online for nearly a decade but never met before in person! It was also a treat to finally meet Diana Botsford and David Niall Wilson. The best thing, though, was meeting so many people who have enjoyed the Stargate Atlantis Legacy series. Thank you guys so much!

People kept asking me when the next Legacy book will come out. We haven't started it yet! Melissa and I are going to get together on Friday to work on the outline. So, all fingers crossed, Endless should be out next year.

Meanwhile, there will be the first-ever anthology of Stargate stories coming out this fall with five SG-1 stories and five Atlantis stories. My story, A Blade of Atlantis, is a time travel story set in season one. I've read some of the others, and there are some very strong stories in this anthology!

In other news, the fourth Order of the Air book, Wind Raker, should be out this fall. We're waiting for the beautiful Bob Eggleton cover art. I think this may be the best Order of the Air book yet! It's the summer of 1935, and the team are in Hawaii face to face with an old enemy. Numinous World readers will also be pleased to see the 20th century incarnations of Gull and Neas. Oh it's fun!

Right now I'm working on the fifth book, Oath Bound. I'm having such a good time with this one because it's back to Alexandria. Yes, Jerry has the dig of his dreams, only of course complications ensue.

Questions? Thoughts? What are you guys looking forward to?

I'm sure my enthusiasm for Numinous World has become aggravating by now, but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing Gull and Neas again!

I really like the synopsis of the Order of the Air books - I shall be looking to try them on soon. :)

At any rate, it sounds like you had an awesome time!

There is no such thing as too much Numinous World! :) Not to me, anyway!

It's definitely interesting writing their 20th century incarnations. In fact, I think I'll post a little piece of Gull's 20th century self today.

I hope you enjoy the Order of the Air. It's a little different in that there's more adventure, but the magic/spirituality is much the same.

Shore Leave 36
It was great to meet you at the con, and I enjoyed the "Fanfic to Pro" panel we shared. Hope our paths cross at some future con down the road!

I enjoyed getting to chat with you and Melissa and the other authors. Of course, I'm always thrilled to get more Stargate stories of all types! I'm also looking forward to the next Order of the Air book. I've enjoyed those characters.
