Actually mine is Cythera and Athain on the acceleration couch.

I should have put that one on the list! That's one of my favorites too.

I know they're not technically sex scenes but Cythera and the Blossom/the flashback to the party remain my favourite :D

Oooh. Yes. I like that too! Though oddly enough that was the only scene anyone complained about.

I'm guessing you mean the party scene ... prudes! They were the best bits :D Any word on a sequel cause you know, loving this universe!

I agree with cypherindigo. Besides the D&S theme, it was making love in space.

I like that one a lot too. I should have put it on the list.

It was hard making the list because I kept going, "What about the...oh wait. That was fanfic. I can't use that. Or what about... oh wait."

The flashback to Lydias/Hephaistion on Alexander's wedding night in Stealing Fire. Not for erotic purposes, but because it was so telling a scene (and set up so much about Agrippa in Hand of Isis). And for the dramatic irony -- because I'm pretty sure Alexander would've told them to just go for it if he'd noticed them pining at each other. It's not like he had any need to be jealous of Hephaistion's love. And then everything might have been different.

That is a great scene.

I also very much liked Bagoas's gentle seduction of Hephaistion by way of two dinners (H innocently just fell asleep after the first dinner) and a massage.

Thank you!

Dear Lydias. He's not exactly quick on the uptake sometimes! :)

Oops, Lydias, of course. Can't think how I used the wrong name there -- I've read it like 4 times.

Going by the votes above, I should nerve myself to re-read Hands of Isis (it's good but bits are sad/angry-making). I remember the group calendar coordination better than the sex. :-)

Hand of Isis is the one of my books I've never reread through all the way. I just can't. It's too sad.

I think you're right that everything would have been different. Alexander would have absolutely told him to go for it. But Lydias -- oh Lydias. He's so afraid of being rejected that instead of saying, "Yes, this was what I wanted," he says, "You're right. We should never speak of this again." Erg. And of course Hephaistion isn't going to push it if he's been told no. So he doesn't. With such a chain of misunderstanding coming from that.

I ALMOST chose Cythera, but Mitch and Stasi was such a unique sex scene. It showed that there were ways beyond the traditional, and those ways were anything but second-best. :)

I'm glad you liked that scene. It was one of the most challenging to write, certainly. I did a lot of work for that one. It needed to be true, if you know what I mean? And certainly not second best. Neither of them think for a moment that what they have is a let down.

Oh yes! That scene was pure fun to write. Then I had to write the rest of the novel to finish their story!
