Last Lines

Here are my favorite last lines from my books, ones from scenes I really love. Can you guess which book each last line is from?

All the stories end so.

The window was open, and the Hammond passed through.

"Then dance with me until the music stops."

"The navel of the world is home."

And the world was mended.

Beyond, the snow fell soundlessly into the sea.

Stasi laughed, her head against Alma's shoulder, dark against bright, "Anything goes, darling."

"So you did," I said, and kissed him amid the falling snow.

"God help us all," she said, a prayer for the ruin of Ethiopia and for all that hovered in the future, just beyond the door.

* Lost Things?
* One of the Stargates
* Steel Blues? The singer-spy-Paris one? Cythera? Hmm.
* Wind Raker
* Stealing Fire?
* The Emperor's Agent?
* Silver Bullet
* The General's Mistress?
* Oath Bound

Sorry so many question marks -- so many *sound* familiar, but hard to remember which goes to what!

The first one is Stealing Fire, Lydias telling the story.

That is indeed one of the Stargates. That's the end of The Furies.

Steel Blues! You are correct!

Wind Raker -- right again!

No, that's Black Ships, not Stealing Fire. Close!

That's actually one of the Stargate books, The Lost.

Silver Bullet is correct!

Yes, indeed, The General's Mistress.

And absolutely, Oath Bound.

You got most of them!
