We finally have some good news on Allegiance! The difficulties at MGM seem to have been resolved and Allegiance will be out in November, basically in 8-12 weeks!

It will be initially available in ebook format and in print on demand, so you can order a paperback version easily if you prefer it.

As we get closer to the time I'll be able to give you an exact date and details and preorder links, but for now this is what we know -- Allegiance will be out in November!

It is great that Allegiance will be out in November! Will there eventually be a Paperback edition out in stores or will that only be available "Print on Demand"?
Does this mean that the dates/months each book was going to be released has also changed? Because I found a chart sometime ago online that gave the release months for each book and it said:
"Book 4: Avengers - October 2011"

Here is the chart that I am going by that I saved, is this acurate still?
Book 1: Homecoming - October 2010
Book 2: The Lost - February 2011
Book 3: Allegiance - June 2011
Book 4: Avengers - October 2011
Book 5: The Secret - Spring 2012
Book 6: The Inheritors - Summer 2012

Some stores may choose to order print on demand, or they may not. The difference is that "regular" paperbacks are taken on spec -- in other words, the publisher pays for printing them and then stores carry them but don't actually pay for them until they're sold. With print on demand titles the store has to actually buy them before they stock them. But certainly some will, especially sci fi bookstores or con dealers who know they'll sell SGA books. And of course Amazon will carry them and probably Barnes and Noble online.

Yes, the release dates have changed. You can figure the others will all push later as well, but the only one we have a firm date on so far is Allegiance.

*runs round waving arms in the air and jumps up and down* WOOT! *cough* Not that I'm pleased or anything, you know. :D

*g* I'm glad you're pleased. It's really good! I knew what was going to happen because I'd read the outline, and I was still on the edge of my seat at the end going, "no, no, no... please you can't kill her....)

Yay! Can't wait, and I'm so glad I've bought a Kindle since the last book was released. No waiting weeks for delivery for me this time.

Though boo, MGM. November is NaNo time. I don't need (more) distractions. XD

No waiting weeks! And no expensive shipping charges. I'm happy I have a kindle too, because it really does cut my costs down a lot, even when you don't figure on how much cheaper the ebooks usually are than the paperbacks.

Luckily I have an office to myself, so the rest of the denizens of this particular purgatory cannot see the crazy smile I have on my face...or hear the 'yesYesYES!!!'

If I believed in an omnipresent being, I would be thanking her right now.

The confirmation that the Legacy series isn't permanently on hiatus (my fear since the hold-up began) is water to this dehydrated person. November's not that far away...I can survive till then...easy peasy. I think.

And Allegiance is such a good book, which I can say since it's not mine!

Awesome news. Been checking Amazon for a while in hopes that that the book would be available soon and never did see anything. So this was great to hear. Now to dig up and reread the first two.

SGA Allegiance
Do we have a date for the book release yet? I'm reading the 2nd one right now and I love the series so far! I really like the character developments and love where the series is taking the John/Teyla relationship!

Re: SGA Allegiance
In the next two weeks for the ebook, a couple of weeks longer for the print version to, er, print! The book is through galleys and the galleys are approved. The only thing they're waiting for is the final form of the legal language in the copyright info at the front of the book from MGM. (Apparently that's changed since MGM was sold.) So with luck, next week! :)

I'm so glad you're enjoying it! Thank you!
