Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the poll about upcoming books!

A few questions answered -- all of the books will be available in print and ebook editions both. The Stargate books will be in ebook and mass market paperback (the small pocket-sized books), though many outlets are not choosing to carry them in the print version. They will be available from the publisher and at bookstores that choose to carry them. We have absolutely no control over which ones do or don't! Obviously we'd like every bookstore in the world to choose to carry them, but a lot of bookstores aren't choosing to stock books for a tv show that's been off the air for three years. You can always order them directly from stargatenovels.com in mass market paperback if that's your preferred format.

Lost Things will be in ebook and trade paperback (the large size paperbacks). It will also be in audiobook, but that will probably be several months later, perhaps by Christmas, while the ebook and paperback versions will be out in July. As you can guess, producing an audiobook requires a voice actor and studio time, which takes a lot longer than a print or ebook. But yes! Lost Things is not ebook only. There will be a trade paperback for those who prefer print format.

The General's Mistress will be in trade paperback as well, and there will be an ebook version simultaneously released. I don't yet know if there will be audio. That's still up in the air.

Right now the paperback/ebook thing is splitting at about 60/40 among my readers, so I'm making sure that all of the books will be available in both formats.

I am trying to buy more ebooks, as I will eventually run out of sheld space in my tiny flat, and the books I need for uni are a) larger and b) do not come in ebook form.

Either way, The General's Mistress and Lost Things will be in my hot little hands as soon as I can contrive!

I'm totally out of shelf space. I'm usually only buying paper books now when they're research books that aren't in ebook format, or where losing the illustrations would be a problem.

I'm so glad you're looking forward to them!

That is good to hear that the StarGate books will be in Paperback edition! I prefer Paperback to ebooks. It just doesn't feel like a book when it's an ebook, and it just feels like another thing to read on a computer or computer-like device. There has to be something said about the feel of a good old fashion Paperback Book, that an ebook just doesn't have, and never can. It will always be on something that just doesn't give it the feel of a book but a price of plastic and a screen.

Lots of people prefer the paper, but sadly a lot of stores aren't carrying them. I get it that they're making the calculation that since the show has been off the air for three years there isn't much interest anymore, but it does make it hard for people who prefer paper.

That is totally true, and also sad.
