Silver Bullet

The revisions on Steel Blues, the sequel to Lost Things, are turned in. The Inheritors, book six of Legacy, is turned in to Sally at Fandemonium. So now I'm working on Silver Bullet, the third book in the series with Lost Things. We're a little short of half done, and I'm diving back into my research and putting my head back in 1932.

I'm currently listening to Duke Ellington's Mood Indigo and reading about silver mining in Colorado before the turn of the century. There's an abandoned silver mine that features prominently in Silver Bullet -- the Silver Bullet mine -- and so I'm working on the mine and thinking about the big action sequence toward the end of the book that will be there. I wish I could afford to fly out to Colorado and do some footwork, but sadly I can't.

Meanwhile, Melissa's working on the New York section of the book, which I'm really looking forward to seeing as it has Nikola Tesla, which is always a blast! And a hidden map to a fabulous lost tomb, gay New York in the thirties, and an old friend of Jerry's from the original Lodge.

Mine has the introduction of an ongoing villain, the aforementioned Apache Dance, the return of the Countess from Steel Blues, and Lewis, Alma and Mitch. So many fun elements! I hope you enjoy this series as much as I am.

Oh, dang it! I wish I could be more help! :( I live on the other side of the Rockies. If you need to know anything about WESTERN Colorado, let me know. However, I'm not a mine expert, and I've only been to Colorado Springs a few times.

Well, that's a few times more than I have! :) If you don't mind, I may pick your brains some, as anything is better than nothing!
