Looking Ahead and January Update

Happy New Year, everyone! It's time to look ahead at what I have coming in 2013, and what I'm working on right now.

First up -- The Inheritors is at MGM for first edits. I have no idea when we can expect it back, but that's only the second step in the editorial process and it will have to go through MGM at least one more time. I'm guessing maybe March? But that depends entirely on MGM. There will be much more about The Inheritors here as we get closer!

Steel Blues is completely done! There's one more round of galleys after the book is laid out, but that's a fairly minor thing, just a last chance to catch typos. Then it will be going out to reviewers and preparing for its April 1 release! I'm terribly excited about Steel Blues.

My third book for 2013 is Silver Bullet, the sequel to Lost Things and Steel Blues, which will be out in the fall. Melissa and I are working on it now, about 3/4 done. My next piece, which I hope to work on tomorrow since tomorrow is a school day (yay!) is Lewis and Mitch finding out that the bad guy is going after the Silver Bullet Device and they have only hours to stop him with no way to get in touch with Alma or Jerry! This may require more muscle than magic, but our guys can handle it, right? After all, there are only five or six of the bad guys, and they're armed. Lewis and Mitch can take care of that, right?

Will there be another Stargate book? I don't know. Currently Fandemonium's licensing agreement with MGM is up in April. There are two books scheduled between now and then, The Inheritors and SG-1 Ouroboros. If the agreement is renewed, there will be more books and I will probably write one. I'm certainly willing to write more Stargate. But I don't know if that will happen or not. Melissa and I have batted around the idea of a time travel SGA novel called "A Blade of Atlantis" and Amy and I have talked about a couple of possibilities for a seventh Legacy book, but I have no idea what will happen.

Will there be another Elza book? The Emperor's Companion, sequel to The General's Mistress, is ready to go. I hope that Gallery Press will buy it. But at this point I have no idea.

Will there be more of the Order of the Air? To that I can say unequivocally yes. David Niall Wilson at Crossroad Press has committed to the series. Later in 2013 we'll get to work on Wind Raker, the fourth book, in which our guys go to Hawaii with a sea plane, a mysterious archaeological dig, and German secret agents.

In any event, I have three books scheduled for release in 2013, so cross your fingers for four! I'd love for The Emperor's Companion to sell!

It's disappointing MGM is dragging their feet so much.
It's disappointing MGM is dragging their feet so much. First we were told a publish date back in something like September or October, at least according to what was once said at barnesandnoble.com. Then in October it was said maybe January. Now in January it has become maybe March and it almost sounds like we're being told March is no better than 50-50. Does MGM for some reason WANT to keep delaying publication? Or is it a ploy by MGM to ramp up anticipation so they can get more sales when it does finally get published?

We who have been really enjoying the Legacy series are ready for more. This wait is getting unbelievably long as it has already been something like five or six months since the last installment.

Re: It's disappointing MGM is dragging their feet so much.
MGM only has one person who reviews books, and so it can get slow. Right now I'm waiting on MGM's revisions to The Inheritors, so there's not really anything I can do until they come back. I'm sorry it takes so long!

Ark of the Covenant
Hi I was in Panama recently and the ark of the covenant was discovered. The lost city of El Dorado is discovered in Chiriqui Panama. It is quiet interesting to see who is now taking responsibility for the exciting news. check out their link at http://thearkofthecovenantdiscovered.com/ Chiriqui archaeological sites. Exciting new news, revealed and exposed.
