The Backyardigans

A clever reader has noted the resemblance between the Gilchrist Aviation team in The Order of the Air and The Backyardigans.

Um. Yeah? I've seen a good deal of the Backyardigans in recent years, and yeah, there is a certain resemblance! Ok! (I swear it's purely inadvertent!)

Ok. Lewis has to be Austin and Alma is Uniqua. That definitely makes Mitch Tyrone and Jerry Pablo. And Stasi as Tasha? Oh yes. Ok.

I will now never watch the Backyardigans again without seeing Mitch taking the compass out of his pocket and saying quietly while everyone else argues, "Actually, north is that way." Not to mention that Uniqua has a pink biplane....

HA! That's pretty funny. We loved the Backyardigans....and I'm holding YOU responsible as the reason why I will be annoying my co-workers with the theme song tonight at work. ;)

You have a Backyardigans icon! You are too cool for me! :D

We still love them around our house. And now I'm visualizing the Gilchrist Aviation versions doing everything. Ok, which episode synopses are these:

Mitch needs to clean out his garage. He talks Alma and Jerry into doing it.

Stasi wants a drink of water. Lewis and Mitch hop to it, only occult problems intervene.

Alma has a telegram to deliver with her trusty biplane. Only the recipients aren't happy to get it.

Jerry, Alma and Mitch are castaway on a desert island. But are they really alone?

Heehee, yes I couldn't resist uploading one....we had many convos in my house as to whether or not Uniqua as a boy or girl.....sort of like our family's division over the goodness or evilness of Severus Snape, we were split right down the middle! Lol....Uh oh duty calls..... I get to be spider killer extraordinaire this morning!
