Messages from the future

If you could give Alma, Jerry, Mitch, Lewis and Stasi a message from the future to where they are in Wind Raker, in the summer of 1935, what would it be? If you could tell them one thing that's going to happen, give them one piece of advice or warning, let them know one reassurance, what would it be?

Our mixed-race President refering to homosexual rights during his State of the Union. We still have a LONG way to go, but I think that would have showed Jerry what kind of progress we were making. If I could have two, it would be to show Alma how far women have come in the workplace. Again, a long way to go, but at least in 2015 she wouldn't have to automatically assume she was going to be ignored or spoken over.

I hate those scenes in the Order of the Air books in that they're just so hard to experience. They're so well-written and 100% necessary, but they make me... well, they make me want to throw a little Sam Carter at them. "Is this because I'm human or because I'm a woman."/"A little of both."/"::smile, punch::"
